RESERVATIONS & POLICY

JET SKI RENTALS ARE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  PLEASE CONTACT HOLDEN BEACH JET SKIS AT 910-842-7000 FOR A NEARBY JET SKI RENTAL ALTERNATIVE.

 

Reservations:  Availability is on a first-come basis.  Reservations are recommended in advance for rental boats, in particular June-August.  To make a boat reservation, you can visit www.oceanisleboatrentals.com or you can call 910-616-4754.  You will need to call to make a Jet Ski reservaton.  You will need to have a valid Visa/Mastercard/ AMEX or Discovery card available.  When you show up to rent, a valid Visa/Mastercard/AMEX or Discover and current form of ID must be presented at time of rental.  Final payment is accepted with Visa/Mastercard/AMEX/Discover or CASH.  A BOAT operator MUST be at least 21 years of age.  A JET SKI operator MUST be at least 18 years of age (14-17 years ONLY IF accompanied by a parent).

Cancellation:  7 days cancellation policy for all reservations; reservations cancelled within this 7 day period will be charged 50% of the cost of the rental.  Reservations cancelled within 48 hours will be charged 100% the cost of the retal.  ** A WEATHER FORECAST DOES NOT WARRANT CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULE.  If it is raining or thundering AT THE TIME of your rental, you may cancel or reschedule at no cost.  If you go out and it begins to rain or thunder during you rental, you may come back for a prorated refund.

Operation: No ocean operation - No night operation - No towing of anything or anyone

Orientation:  Every operator will be given a thorough orientation on safe operation of the rental boat.  Applicable local and state laws will be covered.  It is the responsibility of all authorized operators to listen and understand instructions and request further explanation if he/she have any questions concerning operation of the rental boat.

Damage:  The "renter" (the person who signs the paperwork as the Lessee) is responsible for any physical or bodily damage that occurs while the rental boat is being operated under the "renter's" consent.    The rental boat will be inspected after each use for damage.  Repair for damages will be at renter's expense.   

Damage Fee Schedule-

- Debris sucked into water intake causing overheating and internal damage to engine- $1000+- occurs from operating outside of designated riding area and getting too shallow

- Fiberglass chips, scratches or cracks- $100 per inch- occurs from negligent operation, ie. running into things

- Chipped, cracked or bent propeller - $150 for aluminum props, $500 for stainless props

- Broken hatches, throttles or anything not otherwise mentioned- $100+ as quoted by rental agent

- Lost or damaged life jacket or kill switch (per lost item)- $25

****  These are only examples.  The renter is responsible for total cost of any damage that occurs while rental boat is being operated under renter's consent.  This includes reimbursement for lost rental time which may occur if damage is excessive enough to render boat unrentable until repair.

Overtime Fee:    Late return is charged at $150/hour (we don't want to be jerks, but there are other people waiting for your rental boat and it is disrespectful to them and causes us to have to endure their displeasure when you are late!)
